Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between refined and high-oleic sunflower oil?+
Standard refined sunflower oil is neutral in taste with a high smoke point, suited to everyday frying and baking. High-oleic grades carry a higher share of monounsaturated fat, which extends fry life and shelf stability — useful for industrial frying lines and long-shelf-life products. High-oleic is quoted on request.
Which packaging options are available?+
Retail 1 L PET bottles, 17 L and 20 L jerrycans for catering, and bulk formats — flexitanks (roughly 20–24 MT per 20ft container) and IBC totes of about 1,000 L. Packing is confirmed on the pro-forma invoice.
What is the minimum order quantity?+
Packed oil is quoted from one 20ft container. Bulk oil is quoted per flexitank or per IBC lot. Mixed pallets of pack sizes inside one container can usually be arranged — mention it in your RFQ.
Which documents ship with the order?+
Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and certificate of analysis covering free fatty acid, peroxide value, moisture and colour. Health certificates are issued where the destination market requires them.
How should bulk sunflower oil be stored?+
Store below 25 °C, away from direct light and strong odours, in sealed food-grade containers. Refined oil typically carries a 12–18 month shelf life from production when stored correctly.
